Summary

Aalborg received the order from the Danish district heating plant Egedal Fjernvarme A/S. Renewable energy is familiar territory for the district heating plant, which installed a biomass boiler in 2018. With the construction of a new solar heating plant, the district heating plant takes yet another step towards a greener and more sustainable energy production.

The 3,458 m2 solar field will – when constructed - consist of 34 rows of flat panels with up to 10 collectors per row. With a capacity of 2.6 MWth, the plant is capable of producing 1,850 MWh heat per year. Combined with the district heating plant’s already existing biomass boiler and an accumulation tank with a capacity of 2,400 m3, the solar heating plant will provide sustainable heating to 875 customers in Stenløse and Ølstykke.
