Summary

Rolls-Royce Power Systems is supporting the work of the German aid organization Malteser Hilfsdienst in rebuilding the areas in Rhineland-Palatinate and North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany affected by the flood disaster. To this end, the Malteser Hilfsdienst is receiving a donation of 50,000 Euros from Rolls-Royce Power Systems, which the aid organization intends to use for its work in the flooded areas.

High on Malteser Hilfsdienst’s list of priorities is supplying the area with electrical power after the floods destroyed large parts of the power grid. “We will use the generous donation from Rolls-Royce to purchase small generators to provide temporary power to homes. This can be used, for example, to operate building drying equipment so that residents can return to their homes as soon as possible,” says Georg Khevenhüller, president of Malteser Hilfsdienst.

“It is difficult for us to imagine the suffering that the floods have brought upon people. But we can help to provide acute and rapid assistance to people affected by the flood disaster and give them a perspective for the future. We hope that our donation will help,” says Andreas Schell, CEO of Rolls-Royce Power Systems.
