Data Center Dynamics
Green Mountain is to build a new data center at its existing campus outside Oslo, Norway.
The company announced this week it had acquired a 53,000 square meter (570,500 sq ft) plot of land adjacent to its DC3-Oslo data center campus.
Green Mountain plans to expand the Oslo site with a new 13.5MW colocation data center. Construction has already started with an estimated completion of November 2022.
The new data center will run on 100 percent renewable energy and will be connected to the local district heating grid to heat households in the local area. CTS Nordics has been chosen as the Design & Build contractor for the project.
