Tabreed, the UAE district cooling company, has signed a contract with Egypt to provide services to 'CapitalMed', the healthcare facility of Badr, a large industrial center in the region of Cairo. Tabreed, Gulf News reports, will build a bespoke district energy plant to meet the cooling and heating requirements of the healthcare center's buildings. The project of the plant will be made by Shaker Consultancy.
CapitalMed is a healthcare center on which Egypt is investing to attract medical tourism and to best exploit facilities including 700 ICU places, 70 operating rooms and over 15,000 healthcare providers offering 100 specialties. The project will serve a population of one million people. The healthcare citadel will have direct access to large national highways and direct connection to Cairo's airport which is 20 minutes away.
