Aldar and Johnson Controls have announced the launch of Abu Dhabi’s ‘Cooling as a Service’ (CaaS) project. This aims to reduce the annual carbon footprint at Al Rayyana Complex and Eastern Mangroves in Abu Dhabi by up to 30 percent over a 10-year period.
Managed by Johnson Controls, the service will use energy saving measures and advanced technologies to reduce 26,880 tonnes of CO2 emissions from the Aldar Assets, eventually delivering a net-zero plan.
Through this partnership, Aldar will be able to outsource cooling services upon payment of end users which ultimately aims to reduce spend on utility bills and energy use.
