The presentation will focus on the advantages of various generation assets in economic uncertainty.
The utility assets on campus allows a lot of flexibility in energy management. The university has combustion turbines with waste heat boilers, solid fuel boilers, and gas boilers. They also have various types of chilled water generation, from storage to steam and electric. Also, heat recovery chillers on the system (with current CHW modeling can support this), solar, and geothermal on the system too. Future considerations, Hydrogen, SNG, biogas, biomass, etc.
This portfolio of assets gives the university many tools to minimize their utility costs.
