Rory Spangler is a Program Manager for the Maryland Energy Administration. He manages a portfolio of energy programs that maintain a specific focus on economic development through energy efficiency. In this role Rory has developed a pilot grant program to promote Maryland’s growing data center market by reducing energy usage in new and existing data centers. Prior to joining State Government, Rory was an active entrepreneur starting both a data storage company in Los Angeles, California and establishing a commercial energy service company in Maryland. Rory holds a BA in Energy and Sustainability Policy from Penn State University and is completing an MBA from Mississippi State University.
