08-14-2017 13:54

Summary

Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) suffered extended outage during Superstorm Sandy and had to look at alternative methods for improving the reliability of operation. BMS was also aggressively pursuing the path of energy and carbon reduction throughout their campuses. WM Group, as a part of this endeavor, conceptualized and developed 2 x 2 MW CHP system that operates in 3 basic modes; grid parallel, storm anticipation and black-start. The presentation will discuss the unique approach & features of such CHP development and impress the potential CHP implementers the true value of smart and simple design to a complex system.
