09-13-2023 11:48

Session Abstract

Children’s of Alabama is a top pediatric medical center and Level 1 trauma center requiring mission critical district energy.  In support of their financial stewardship and environmental sustainability goals, Children's undertook upgrades and optimization supervisory control solutions to drive maximum efficiency of operations, lower energy costs, reduce risk of failure.  The program is delivered with "Cooling as a Service" commercial model.  This case study will shared the resulting benefits of physically connecting two separate heating and cooling plants, each with different utility rate structure,  and applying predictive model-based cost optimization software integrated via BACnet to the plant automation system.
