Session Abstract

Implementation of the NextGeneration Connecticut program significantly invests in STEM facilities at the Storrs campus. To support this initiative, there is a significant investment in new district energy infrastructure including a Supplemental Utility Plant (SUP) plus package boiler replacements in the Central Utility Plant (CUP) to provide additional power, steam, chilled water and emergency power capabilities on the campus. This presentation will present the reason for change, design overview, and the current status of implementation.
