We will walk through the process of identifying electric utility carbon; evaluating Central Utility Plant options (CHP, gas-fired/electric boilers; heat recovery chillers, bio-fuel), the benefits and challenges of developing a larger EcoDistrict with public (UCSF); public-private (The Warriors Arena) and private buildings in order to share energy production assets and enhance DES resiliency. Additionally, new developments in accessing/contracting for bio-gas, delivery options, results/options/impacts/next-steps for GHG reduction, funding, O&M, and energy saving opportunities will be discussed.
