Governance Models and Success Strategies for Developing Thermal Grids

This workshop will focus on real-world case studies and proven strategies behind successful district energy development projects, drawing from international experience and best practices on assessment, development, financing and project execution. Topics will include economic, technical, political and social context for community energy planning, governance structures, district energy lifecycle and key success factors, stakeholder management and capacity building. The workshop will be based on a research project for the International Energy Agency Technology Collaboration Programme on District Heating and Cooling.
