Conference Overview

Another IDEA attendance record was set in Miami, Fla., when 856 participants convened at the Hyatt Regency Miami for the 30th Annual Campus Energy Conference. Held Feb. 20-24, CampusEnergy2017: A Sustainable Future attracted campus energy professionals, manufacturers, service providers and government officials from 41 states and 10 countries. There were 175 attendees who work directly for a college or university – a strong number that reflects the growing role that district energy, combined heat and power, and microgrids can play to create a more sustainable future. The exhibit hall was alive with conversation as attendees networked with 101 exhibitors, exchanging information about the latest technologies and services that are helping campus utilities operate more efficiently and reduce their carbon emissions.
